Nurse Practitioner – Neonatology | Lubbock, TX

Provide daytime inpatient neonatology coverage in Lubbock with a predictable one-week-per-month schedule, no night call, and 8-hour rounding shifts. This locum tenens assignment offers weekly direct-deposit pay, comprehensive W-2 medical benefits, and dedicated support throughout your engagement.

What You’ll Do

• Provide inpatient neonatal care during daytime rounding shifts.
• Evaluate and manage lower-acuity patients in the regular NICU.
• Perform patient assessments and develop appropriate care plans.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to support coordinated patient care.
• Provide clinical management within granted privileges and site requirements.
• Participate in relevant neonatal procedures as credentialed.
• Refer cardiovascular surgery cases for intervention when appropriate.

What You Need

Required

• Active license or IMLC eligibility
• DEA registration
• Board certification
• BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
• Availability for one week of coverage per month
• Ability to provide inpatient neonatal care during 8:00 AM–4:00 PM shifts

Preferred

• Recent documentation, within the past 24 months, of completing:
  • 5 lumbar punctures
  • 5 arterial line procedures
  • 5 central line procedures
  • 5 chest tube procedures
  • 5 airway management or intubation procedures
